New North Seminar in Rovaniemi 8. – 9. November 2023
Regional Council of Lapland and project partners in Finland, Sweden and Norway are organized with project New North -Transport, Logistics and Security of Supply – seminar in Rovaniemi on 8. -9.11.2023 in Arktikum.
The project partners are Lapland, North Karelia, Kainuu, and Oulu regions in Finland, the Kvarken Council of the Bothnian Sea area and the Västerbotten and Norrbotten regions in Sweden and Troms, Norland and Finnmark regions in Norway.
The New North seminar is the project’s kick-off seminar
The seminar presented the starting points of the project, which aim to strengthen cooperation in the northern region and enable smoother transport chains, security of supply, electric air traffic and the development of green transport corridors.
The aim was to present the latest reports on transport and logistics in the Northern Region in and to present the views of national government on the development of future transport in the Northern Region.
All transport and logistics experts, decision-makers, representatives of national, regional and municipal agencies as well as business representatives from each of the project countries participated to the seminar.
