Regional Cohesion and Competitiveness Programme (COCO)

The Regional Cohesion and Competitiveness Programme, COCO, is a special Government regional development programme in accordance with the Act on Regional Development ( Laki alueiden kehittämisestä), no. 1651 (2009), section 14. The objective of the COCO programme is to improve the operational methods of regional development work, intensify cooperation between regions, build networks between regions and boost the sharing of knowledge and experience.

The funding granted within the programme is primarily allocated at the development of cooperation methods and forms, the coordination of the development work and, for instance, implementing preliminary reports and pilot projects.
